Don’t you hate it when someone walks into the room like they’ve got it alllllll figured out?

❌ They don’t ask what you think.

❌ They don’t check their assumptions.

❌ They don’t seem interested in listening at all.

Make me wonder… is that confidence? Or is it insecurity or maybe even arrogance?

Real confidence looks different.

It’s quieter.

It’s not afraid to say “I don’t know.”

And it’s curious enough to ask.

It’s curious enough to wonder:

→ What might I be missing?

→ What’s changed since last time?

→ What does this person see that I don’t?

Here’s the thing: Confidence might get you in the door, but it’s curiosity that helps keep it open.

Curiosity:

✔️ Surfaces opportunities (even in a tough market).

✔️ Builds connection, opening up conversations you didn’t even know were possible.

✔️ Starts the trust building process after things go sideways.

Could I be even be bold enough to suggest that confidence without curiosity smells a lot like arrogance?

👉 What do you think?
