This statement explains how we handle the personal information we collect when you use this website, www.stuvanrij.com or otherwise interact with us in relation to any coaching, training or speaking work. When we use the terms we, us or our, we are referring to Brickfield Consulting Limited, for which Stu van Rij is a Director.

We collect the personal information described above to identify you, to promote, provide or improve our services, to respond to communications from you, to conduct research and statistical analysis, to comply with any applicable laws and to generally communicate with you in relation to our services and any other services we may provide in the future. 

If you enter your email address on the website you will be added to our email list, but you can unsubscribe from a newsletter at any time (for example, when you receive a newsletter, you can click the ‘Unsubscribe’ link).

Who will hold it

We will hold your personal information. It will also be held on our behalf in whole or in part by our hosting provider (Wix.com) and other reputable service providers that we use from time to time (at the date of this policy that includes Microsoft, Dropbox, Apple, ActiveCampaign, Pipedrive, HubSpot and Vimeo).  Some of these businesses are located outside New Zealand.

Within our organisation, your information will be viewable by Stu van Rij and his team. We may also share your information with our suppliers and contractors in connection with their provision of services to us, to any person authorised by you or where we are legally required to do so.

We collect statistical information about visits to this site. Site statistics allow us to assess the number of visitors to different sections of the site, identify what information is of interest, monitor system performance and help us make the site more useful to visitors.

We also use service providers like HubSpot, Pipedrive and ActiveCampaign, that use various technologies to collect information, including cookies and software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs). Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on web pages or in emails and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Among other things, the clear gifs in our HTML-based emails help to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of certain communications and the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. We tie the information gathered by clear gifs in emails to personal information.
